This recipe for Oven Baked Pulled-Pork Chops will work for rabbit or chicken. You can also prepare it in the crock-pot or slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 2 pork chops or pork country ribs
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bottle Apple Ketchup

Instructions

  • Grease an ovenproof dish and preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Layer the onion on the bottom of the pan. Arrange the pork chops on top. Pour the Apple Ketchup over and rinse the bottle with a bit of water and also add to the dish. Cover with foil and bake until the meat is just about done, around 140 degrees on a meat thermometer. Remove the foil and continue baking until done, when the meat thermometer registers 160 degrees. Serves 2.

Cheryl's Notes

Note: This type of preparation can be done with any meat, cooking times may vary. I often use the crockpot. Add the vegetables first (carrots and peppers are good), then layer the meat and sauce. Use water, chicken stock or vegetable stock to cover. Cook on low until done, about 8 – 10 hours, varies with cookers.
