  • 4 chicken legs or thighs (bone-in works fine)
  • 1 jar Wild Mushroom Pasta & Pizza Sauce
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into strips


  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Grease a heavy casserole dish with a lid. Add the chicken and pepper strips. Pour the Wild Mushroom Pasta & Pizza Sauce over the chicken pieces. Pour the wine into the jar and shake gently. Pour the wine over the chicken and sauce. Bake until the chicken is done, and registers 160 degrees on a thermometer, about 45 minutes.

Cheryl's Notes

To complete the meal, serve with pasta or roasted potatoes, a green veggie like broccoli, and applesauce.  YUM!
