This recipe would make a nice supper served with couscous, sautéed greens and gingered carrots.
Servings 12 as appetizer

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Maine scallops, washed with the muscle removed
  • 1 cup Downeaster Maple Mustard Marinade

Instructions

  • Remove the muscles from the scallops and pat dry. If necessary, cut the scallops so that they are of an even size. In a shallow pan, lay out the scallops and marinate in the DOWNEASTER, for about ½ hour or more, turning to coat.
  • Grilled Maine Scallops Heat the grill to medium high. Thread the scallops on metal skewers. Spray the grill with cooking spray. Grill the scallops until they are just done. Remove the scallops from the metal skewer. To serve as cocktail food, thread each scallop on a wooden skewer. Arrange on a platter and drizzle the DOWNEASTER over the platter and serve.
